I collected some of the frequently asked questions.
Green tea has so many health benefits, but how about down side?
Green tea has caffein, so a lot of people who sensitive to caffein may wonder if it's
right for them. Green tea has more caffein than coffee in its dry form, but contains 1/2~1/3 of coffee when its prepared.
- Does caffein keeps me awake at night?
- People react differently to caffein. It is safer to drink during day time.
Most of Japanese people drinks green tea at evening, or even before go to bed. (Like my mom!)
I guess some people are used to caffein. Avoid using tea bags which has lower-quality leaf, and may contain more caffein than loose green tea. Another solution may be throwing away first infusion, which may contain most of the caffein. With the high quality loose green tea, you can brew at least 3 times before you throw them away. Controling the strength by adjusting less tea leaf per brew may also help.
